TTEOKGALBI - Korean Beef Patties

Ingredients

  • 500g beef mince
  • 3 tbsp ChamCham Honey Pepper Ganjang (+ extra to glaze)
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp glutinous rice flour
  • ½ cup sliced spring onion
  • Garnish: sesame seeds, red chilli, curly spring onion

1. Mix the beef

  • In a bowl, combine beef mince, spring onion, sesame oil, ChamCham Honey Pepper Ganjang. Mix well by hand until sticky and well combined.

2. Shape the patties

  • Form into small, flattened round patties about 2cm thick. Chill in the fridge for 10–15 minutes to firm up if needed.

3. Cook the patties

  • Heat a pan with a touch of oil over medium heat. Sear the patties on each side for 3–4 minutes until browned and cooked through. Cover the pan for the last 2 minutes to keep them juicy or add some water if they are getting too dark.

4. Glaze (optional)

  • In the same pan, add an extra spoon of Honey Pepper Ganjang to lightly glaze the patties

5. Garnish and serve

  • Sprinkle with sesame seeds and more spring onion. Serve with rice, lettuce wraps, or even as sliders!
